Default Daddy Long Legs

I understand Silver Max and Summer Front are quality horses, but I can only hope the terrible morning line of 6-1 on Daddy Long Legs holds up at post time in the Secretariat.

What's terrible about it?

Poorly worded on my part. I meant I think the morning line of 6-1 is absurd. Looks to me that DDL should be 9-5 with Silver Max 5/2 and Summer Front 5-1.

I guess it depends on how the morning like maker behaves - if he rightly acts and sets the line like he thinks the public will bet, I think there is no way Silver Max isn't the favorite, and think 9-5 is legit on him given his record, same with Summer Front at his price.

I thought Daddy Long Legs beat a sham group in Dubai, and was the third best O'Brien runner in the Irish 2000 Guineas. With the presence of Bayrir, who I view as a much more likely winner, I just don't think DDL gets the public's attention. But if it's an overlay to you - play away!

There's absolutely no way that Daddy Long Legs could ever be made a shorter price than Silver Max.

Complete change of subject. What is Romans' intention with his runners in this race? And what do you do with the "other two" if all three run?

Call me crazy, but I think his intent is to go 1-2-3.

FWIW, I checked the comebackers out of the UAE Derby. They are a combined 2-20, with the two wins coming from Mickdaam and Falls of Lora.

Mickdaam won the Chester Vase (G3) over 12F on turf (the next three finishers behind him didn't come back yet, and the last place finisher is 0-3 since). Falls of Lora won the listed Coral Distaff against fillies against nothing more than allowance company.

He probably goes best on grass, but if you're going for a Euro there, Bayrir seems the horse to me.

I thought for sure that Kent D. was on the horse with that move up the backside.

You can always count on the Euro Jocks for one horrendous ride every ARL Million day.
O'Donoghue completely collapsed the race and killed DLL, Silver Max and, Summer Front's chance all at once.

I'm not complaining, it lead to my best cash in weeks.
I just have to wonder how much better the front runners would have stayed on without DLL's middle move.
