Forget it. Why bother. Dissent is out now that Obama is in charge. Just roll over and let the govt take care of us.

really, that tactic is an equal one from both sides...remember 'you're either with us or against us'? if you spoke out, your patriotism was in question.

the shoe is on the other foot, but the message is pretty much the same.

of course it is. thats why if you are a republican or a democrat, you are a moron. sure they'll let you fight about gays, guns, abortion and all the crap that doesn't amount to much. but in the end the government is the government. they'll take your money, freedom and privacy and thats a bi-partisan fact.....lol
so when i hear or read about someone talking about one side or the other. i have to laugh because both sides talk out of both sides of their mouths. hoping they say something the idiots on their side wants to hear.

Wait, did I miss the posts where you had used up your rational thinking quota for the day before this post?

Jeez.

Well, I guess those things don't count for much unless maybe people happen to be:

1) gay
or
2) a woman of reproductive age
or
3) a gunowner

But there are only a few million people that fall into any of those categories living in this country, so....yeah....lets get back to issues that matter.....like uninformed, unproductive government bashing.

Yeah the liberals never engaged in Govt bashing the last 8 years....

The govt not only deserves bashing, but requires it to keep it on the right path.

Obviously there is no doubt that the people in government (of all parties) often deserve criticism, and perhaps sometimes even abuse.
But the constant harping on the idea by conservatives and libertarians that the federal government always makes things worse and hasn't ever fixed anything is.....well.....as tiresome as it is completely incorrect.

I dont think anyone says that the Federal govt is always wrong or makes things worse. Just most of the time.

boats need anchors. society's need conservatives.

that's not an insult. i think the conservative movement has historically served an important role in our country and other's.

it's also why i worry about the intellectual bankruptcy of conservative idea's at the moment. they've thrown out the whitaker chamber's and william f. buckley's and replaced them with sarah palin and joe the plumber.

liberals should worry about this as much as mainstream republican's. everyone needs a worthy adversary to keep them sharp. the chances that we go far astray are higher when the only argument against your idea's come from beauty queens and high school dropouts. you get soft.

I'm against the Gov't being involved in the internet, and that's because there will always be someone wanting to get the Gov't to take away content they find objectionable. Where were these(Conservative) personal privacy proponents when Bush signed the Conservative-Sponsored internet gambling bill? They believe in limited Gov't? WTF was that? G Damn hypocrites.
