It is truly too bad for the grey! I liked him a lot as a miler and a mile and a 1/16th horse. I am not real sure that he had a mile and a quarter in him, however I think he would have made the Derby interesting if the pace was reasonable. One final thought on him, the fight he put up in the Arkansas Derby to hold on for place was a Champion effort considering the knee problem was probably starting to happen long before he got to the wire!
