Default New Approach - No Arc, No Breeders Cup

just the Champion Stakes.. I have to say Im very disappointed.. As a Derby winner, you would like to think that he would go face the very best at Longchamp and/or Santa Anita.. \ and I have to change my Arc winner Signature again..

from setanta sports:
New Approach is to swerve the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomhpe at Longchamp on October 5 in favour of a run in the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes at Newmarket on October 25.

Jim Bolger's charge was priced between 8-1 and 12-1 for the Longchamp showpiece but will not now take his chance.

"It has been decided that New Approach will bypass Longchamp and run instead in the Champion Stakes at Newmarket," Bolger told the Racing Post.

"It was decided that running in the Arc would be problematical because of the draw factor and it is probably the case that the mile and a quarter trip at Newmarket should suit him better than a mile and a half at Longchamp."

Bolger also confirmed that due to the proximity of the Breeders' Cup meeting to the Champion Stakes the Epsom Derby hero will not be travelling to Santa Anita.

i think it looks like fast ground in the Arc and the The Duke'll go there, then all being well the Classic (unless they divert Henry!)..
