To All The Aussie Race Fans Out There. What Are The Horses There That Run With , Looks Like Rolled Up Pieces Of Foam Padding On The Side Of Their Heads? What Are They Elongated Blinkers? Notice That They Run Better Though.

Sounds like you are talking about WINKERS which are a side roll that helps the horse concerntrate on looking forward but not as restricting as blinkers

They call them cheek pieces over here, they do a pretty good job, too. Didn't realise they were called differently in Oz.
