Default 2007 Kentucky Derby entrant going today

Bwana Bull is running in the 7th at Golden Gate Fields today.

And he's the 3rd favorite on the morning line, in a seven horse field.

Not often that one sees a former Kentucky Derby participant running in the 7th on a Wednesday in late November.

He never managed to be better than 14th at any point in the Derby, you have to be pretty terrible to pull that off. At least he beat out Slow in May who never was better than 15th.

Perhaps they figure that a mile on the grass will suit him better. Last seen finishing dead last on BC day.

Just for closure, Bwana Bull ran 5th today. Never better than 4th in the 7 horse field.

"No speed, outrun" says the chart.

He did go off as the 3rd favorite, but just a tick behind the 1st and 2nd favorite who finished 2nd and 1st. Now Victory led all the way, with favorite Epic Power 2nd all the way.
