I like his running style. He closed well in the Southwest, he closed well today in the Rebel. My only thought, I wish he had more size on him. Curling is a huge colt and he certainly didn't look over exerted today.

Still, the Arkansas Derby is to come, along with other preps.

I like Holthus a lot. Seems like a genuinely good person. Wish Lawyer Ron would've stayed with him. Maybe this one will do better in the Derby.

I like Officer Rocket a little.....but I think there may just be a few more talented colts in his "class"...

He is by Officer and out of a Gone West mare, and I think that like those two he will do his best running at around 7f-8f. Based on that and his running style, he doesn't look like a 9f-10f horse to me.
I suppose he will have the graded stakes earnings to get in because of his dead heat last year in Chicago, but I don't see him as a legitimate contender.
Just out of curiosity, how did you come away from that race today more excited about him than about Curlin?

I think hes better than most do. Hes been middle moved twice, stopped and started, just real poor rides the last two runs. He should have been a closer second today, and he should have won the time prior. I like him, they need to secure a serious rider because he will be in the gates in May, and not without a shot

i dont like him, i know my opinion might not be valued but i dont like him that much at all. i think if he was going to win would it would have been today, he looked flat for part of the race then came on again for second, at this point i just think there are so many other talented derby horses around that rate higher then him, i'd say it would be a huge stretch for him to be in the tri on derby day.
