You take their gas, and I am sure if one wanted to buy a horse from you, you would have no problem selling him one if you could make a dollar.
I am a realist, I know how things work. People throw darts at people like the family that owns these horses, but have no problem with it if they can benefit from it. That is the way people are.
I just think horse racing should stick with horse racing, and politics should stay out of these threads. The comments attacking them were not mine, I was just pointing out the hypocrisy.

Well George (and I assume your handle is after the horse and not the original man since he was a slave owner)...this country has much to be ashamed of as do all cultures, we had slavery, we still have racism, we do have a class structure...but none of that means a person can't speak out against injustice WHERE EVER IT HAPPENS! I have plenty to say about conditions here...and I catch hell for it! I marched with Dr King in the 60's so I don't need someone to lecture me on racism...were you there? I opposed Viet Nam as a member of SDS, were you at the meetings? I served my country in that war when drafted...was that you in the foxhole next to me? I've rescued scores of horses and adopted as many as I could, how many rescued thoroughbreds do you have? And I actually lived in that region with members of my grandmother's family...you "visited" and saw what foreigners are suppose to see! I lived on the streets (and under them) of NYC as a homeless person for a couple weeks so I suspect I know as much about the "other America" as you do...and yet, cause I could walk away at any time I couldn't experience the hopelessness and would never claim to understand that world completely...you want to make assumptions about folks and claim hypocracy...look in the mirror! Under your rules, only "perfect" people can be critical of evil...well, there's a lot of evil in the world and no perfect persons so I guess we should ignore the problems???
