Yeah he's the exception, he's a Brit so he's got that type of mentality.

I think breeding has more to do with the distance limitations than the trainer.

Probably you need a little of both, one guy I do like in NA marathon races is Mike Mitchell, he seems to do well. However I am not sure if that is more juice related or training. He has had his share of good distance horses thru the yrs.

The turf is going to be fascinating as Conduit will get a lot of the money but most likely won't get the set up he needs! Spanish Moon and Fallon look like the guys!!

I still think Con was the 3rd best horse in the turf last year.
If SoF and Eagle Mnt jocks had a brain they would have run 1-2.

I will never, ever forget the field coming by the stands the first time last year, turning to Ntamm and asking...why is Soldier of Fortune pace-pressing his own rabbit. I will NEVER, EVER understand that ride. I'd like to say that he wasn't going to win anyway, but who could've told based on what is, quite possibly, the worst turf ride in a BC race.

I absolutely loved this race last year. Scavs turning to me as they turned from home asking where Conduit is? Whoosh, there he is..

With Presious Passion in the race, there will be a legit pace, especially with the first half-mile run downhill.

yeah he's there, but maybe a chance they just let him do his own thing which would mean Fallon is setting the pace (but still saying that, PP could be dangerous out there!)

dont think Shea did much wrong on Eagle. He rode him assuming he would stay but didnt as well as Conduit.

I might be using Presious Passion, and this is coming from someone that absolutely HATES the horse, but the fact that it will be firm as can be, this horse is gonna have a HUGE lead going the finish line turn, he might just run away, I don't know.

From the Breeders' Cup

The Breeders’ Cup announced Thursday the official race order and wagering menu for the 26th Breeders’ Cup World Championships to be held on November 6-7 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif. This year’s wagering menu on the 14 Breeders’ Cup races is a veritable “Bettors’ Banquet” of wagering opportunities including two all Breeders’ Cup pick sixes, $5.5-million in guaranteed pools, ten-cent superfectas, rolling pick threes, and two new betting propositions: a Ladies’ Classic - Breeders’ Cup Classic daily double and the Breeders’ Cup Head2Head Jockey Bet.

There will be a total of nine races (six Breeders’ Cup races) worth $8.8-million on the Championship Friday program and ten races worth more than $17-million on Championship Saturday (eight Breeders’ Cup races). Championship Friday begins with two Oak Tree allowance races beginning at 11:15 a.m. PST. The first Breeders’ Cup race on the program will be the $500,000 Breeders’ Cup Marathon (12:35 p.m.) followed by the $1-million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (1:08 p.m.); $2-million Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) (1:45 p.m.); $2-million Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1) (2:23 p.m.); $1-million Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (G1) (3:02 p.m.) and the $2-million Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic (G1) (3:45 p.m.). The Las Palmas Stakes (G2) (4:25 p.m.) concludes the Friday program.

On Championship Saturday, first post time is 10:05 a.m. starting with the Damascus Stakes, followed by the $1-million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G2) (10:45 a.m.); $1-million Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (11:23 a.m.); $2-million Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) (12:10 p.m.); $2-million Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G2) (12:49 p.m.); $2-million TVG Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) (1:28 p.m.); $1-million Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) (2:12 p.m.); $3-million Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1) (2:57 p.m.) and the $5-million Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) (3:45 p.m.). The Oak Tree Derby (G2) at 4:25 p.m. follows the Classic.

“With the announcement of the pre-entries on Wednesday, it’s clear that racing fans around the world are going to find great horses on the track and exceptional value in the betting pools. The Championships annually gives players a chance to cash big tickets for a modest investment and to take a chance to score a multi-million payday in the Ultra Pick 6,” said Ken Kirchner, president of FalKirk International and the manager of the Breeders’ Cup wagering and simulcasting operations for the last 13 years. Last year, more than $155-million was wagered on the two-day Championships event.

Each Breeders’ Cup World Championships race will feature a maximum of 14 horses and wagering interests, with the exception of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf, the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf and the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint, which have a maximum of 12 horses. In addition to the standard win, place and show betting, there will be exacta and trifecta wagering on every race; rolling pick three wagers beginning with the first race and continuing through all races on both Championship Friday and Championship Saturday. Among the new items for this year:

• The Breeders’ Cup Head2Head Jockey Bet. Wagers will be offered on the jockey who has the most wins in the 14 Breeders’ Cup Championships races over the two-day event. The wager will open for advance betting on November 5 and will close prior to the running of the Marathon on Friday. A morning line will be published.
• Each day’s Breeders’ Cup Ultra Pick Six wager will have a guaranteed pool and feature only Championships races. Friday’s Ultra Pick 6 will have a guaranteed gross pool of $500,000 and Saturday’s Ultra Pick 6 will feature a $2-million guaranteed gross pool. If no one hits the Friday Ultra Pick 6, the pool will carry over into Saturday’s Ultra Pick 6. The wager will be paid out at the end of the Saturday program.
• A Daily Double wager linking the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic on Friday to the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Saturday will also be offered for the first time.

Other Wagering Highlights this year are:
• The pick four continues to be a fan favorite bet at the Breeders’ Cup and there will be three guaranteed pick four pools. Friday’s all Championships pick four will have a guaranteed pool of $500,000. On Saturday, the early all Championships pick four will have a $1-million guaranteed gross pool and the late all Championships pick four will have a $1.5-million gross pool.
Super High Fives on both the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic and the Breeders’ Cup Classic. Bettors are required to select the first five finishing places on one ticket. If no one hits the Super High Five on Friday the pool will carry over to Saturday’s Super High Five on the Classic. The wager will be paid out after the Classic.
Ten-cent superfectas will be offered on every race.
