![]() The fact that no refunds are given if/when a horse is taken off the trail DURING one of the pools is ridiculous. If the bettors got fixed odds at the time of the bet that would be one thing. But we don't.
As for canceling, I can see why that is not allowed. |

![]() Then I'm obviously confused, no surprise, as I thought I heard someone bet $10K on Runflatout, which is impossible given his odds without a cancellation.

![]() How are you confused? Go to your "recall Today's Bets" and you should have a cancelled future wager on there.
Confirm that you do have one because I want to call them and ask why I couldn't because I used Pomerey's Pistol on a ticket on accident, I tried to cancel it and it said something to the effect of 'Specific pool doesn't allow cancellations' So I contributated a free $6 with that bet. |

![]() I was joking, my bet was canceled.
edit: that's weird, just went back to check again and the bet is not on record at all. I made a 10.00 win bet and canceled it maybe 10 minutes later. Now it's not there at all. |

![]() Now I am confused. I made the bet just to see if you could cancel wagers. When I canceled it, a red canceled ticket showed up just like any other canceled ticket. Now it is gone completely.

![]() From the DRF article:
"The lowest $2 exacta will-pay in Pool 2 is $35.20 for the combination of the field over Uncle Mo (24-23)." That $35.20 payoff is for Uncle Mo over The Field (23-24), not vice versa. The DRF made the same reversal mistake reporting on Pool 1 exactas. --Dunbar

![]() 11/1 on Dialed In and 16/1 on Jaycito ... and even Giacomo had shown more early speed than these two.
They'd be about the slowest Derby winners since Strike The Gold 20 years ago. If you love either Dialed In or Jaycito - wouldn't it have made more sense to backwheel them in the exacta with seven or eight of the better win options? Even when the pace is brutally fast - it's typically a speed horse - or a one-time speed horse - who just so happens to rate kindly who wins. |

![]() I'm still not sure if this is not correct. At about 5:30 I was looking at the odds on the Derby site, where they update them quite frequently. At that time Runflatout was 20-1 and Silver Medallion for example was 62-1. Either someone made a sizeable bet on Siver Medallion (who closed at the same 31-1 as Runflatout) or a bet may have been cancelled on Runflatout. I know most of the money is bet late on these events. Does anyone know if different hubs transmit all or a large portion of their money at the end? I know there was a big problem with the NJ hub being underwater yesterday as a result of the flooding, which caused a lot of problems with certain sites (Saratoga Racino for one). They were, for the most part, unable to take wagers from about 2:30 on yesterday.

![]() I dont know how you can possibly cancel a future bet unless the horse didnt run during that pool yet. For Example if that poor fool who bet on "Run Flat" cancelled before the San Felipe was run I can see getting the money back but not after the race was off.
