Saturday
Rain in the morning...then scattered showers in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s. East winds 5 to 10 mph...becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of rain near 100 percent.

I know your being serious with this comment, but its really kinda sickning. I would rather it be 90 and fast/firm. Then 60, and sloppy.

Working on tomorrow's card, what is likely for turf racing? Will they try keeping the 4th, 6th and 9th on? Im guessing the 1st has to come off, the forcast has been different all week, yesterday it was 80% chance of rain, now its 60%, but it has def. already started.
R1) 5-1
R4) 2-1
R5) 4-1
R6) 4-1
R9) 1-5
R10) 6-1

Just getting into the spirit of things but what do I know I lost a head bob in the 10th....

I hope they can get the 4th on, that is a really nice race. The post time favorite should be around 4-1, and you will get a price/value on whoever you like. Lots of jockey jumping going on in here and its a really intriguing race to pick apart. I like the Bush horse a little, I would feel a lot more comfortable with Garcia riding again though.

I think the only race they will run on the turf is the Ballston Spa. If they moved that to the turf, we'd end up with a 2 horse race with Captains Lover & Coccoa beach being the only 2 stayers.

Going to be a great day either way. Not letting this ruin my day. The weather was great today and I lost my butt. Even with slop, we'll end up with decent size fields and hopefully one or two I can unload on at around 5/1 or 6/1.

Good luck tomorrow to everybody and enjoy your Travers Day.

Sloppy, I am in Saratoga now and its been pouring hard for hours. Just a constent steady rain. If they somehow get 2-3 races on the turf THEY ARE AMAZING. I would say race 1 is 100% off the turf.

Surprised Race 13 didnt attract more main track onlys. Just 1 and it doesnt appear that he is a contender. Going to be a lot of scratches in this one. Thinking a field of about 5 will go. Blah.

race 13 is just a traffic clearing race anyway. If you haven't made $ by then there is always Del Mar.

Seriously, has no one found the humor in Kent having ridden Big Brown in the Belmont, wrestling him to a stop over the final 1/2 mile of the race and then coming back to ride "HOLD ME BACK"!
