Right. They were picking her spots by running her in a grade one in her second career race. I know, it would have been tougher to run in an allowance but they took the easy way out. Then let's see, after having major surgery and coming back from that, they placed the 3yo Personal Ensign in the grade one Beldame at 10f against older mares. In her sixth career race. Then as a 4yo, they ran her in six grade one races, once against males in the Whitney and twice against the Derby winner. Yeah, that's really picking her spots. They also didn't scratch when they got to Churchill and the track came up wet.
