Why can I not say "Brooklyn is fantastic"? It may be getting expensive, but it's got much more appeal than most of Queens..

Oh, I forgot.....Bushwick, East New York, Bed Stuy. Those are some of the nicest neighborhoods in New York.

Bed- Stuy has some of the most beautiful blocks in the city. Some great brownstones.

You obviously haven't been to any of those neighborhoods in the last decade.

Geesh Trifecta, quite protective of your coveted Borough...

Looks like a Brooklyn versus Queens showdown to me...

Maybe you should settle it with a break dancing contest...

Wow, you guys are a lot more optimistic about the Oz than I am. Aqueduct or no Aqueduct, it'll still suck.

I was actually born in East New York, but we moved when I was about 5 yo because the neighborhood was God awful. My parents still live in Ozone Park not far from the Brooklyn border. East New York is still pretty bad.

It's probably the most dangerous of the three you mentioned, but it's not nearly as bad as you're hinting at.

The bottom line is that no matter where you go in the city, there are bad neighborhoods and good ones, but I don't think many places in Queens can justify the rent prices that many places in Brooklyn are able to.

I think we can all agree that the rents/prices these days anywhere in the city are a phucking joke. I just signed the contract to sell my apt for 30% higher than I bought it for 14 months ago. Eventually that kind of absurd appreciation turns around, even in NYC.

I don't know a ton about Real Estate, but haven't people been waiting for the housing bubble to burst for a while now?
