I'm not going to jinx myself tonight but I am making a 4 digit win bet on BC Day. The horse is well talked about on here and its not in the Classic. Good luck Ateam, I think Bernardini is the real deal and I am excited to see him again in 12 days (in person )

Gander, I believe Ateam is talking about the JCGC and you are talking about the BCC.

Oops, your right Dunbar. Thanks for the correction. I was mistaken.

In the JCGC, I am guessing Bernardini will be 1/2 and Invasor 2/1.

No way will you get 3/2 Ateam. Your dreaming. Maybe in the BC Classic (thats even doubtful) but not in here.

You're welcome. Now tell me who your 4-fig BC horse is.

Just kidding.

fyi, VIPsports/Gameday had futures up on the Distaff and Sprint until this weekend. They'll probably be up again tomorrow. TheGreek will eventually have futures up on all the BC races except the juveniles. Pinnacle probably will, too.

brock brings up the key to this whole question.
if DThomas shows up at Belmont,
you get a decent price on Bernardini(above even money for sure).
if not, then you get nothing, as you should.
DThomas can show up, Invasor can show, hell Cigar can unretire and show, it does not matter.
Bernardini is going to have to fall out of the gate to lose.
total freak.

D Thomas help the price of Bernardini? I have never heard of the horse. Can somebody please tell me who this horse is and where he hails from? I imagine he is a euro grass horse who will be a fashionable pick for many of the so called experts on Cup Day. These are getting pretty old.

That's correct, Gander. He just beat Ouija Board in a very sharp race a few weeks ago. Trainer Aidan O'Brien confirmed Dylan Thomas will go in the JCGC, according to Bloodstock Journal. Johnny V will ride.

This horse will rightfully take some money in the JCGC. Ateam, my guess on Bernardini's odds in the JCGC is now 6-5. (assuming Invasor, DylanT, and 2nd of June all go)

Thanks Dunbar. I look forward to seeing the new kid on the block. If he runs like the Euros played golf this weekend, our horses are in some trouble!

heh heh!

Here's a replay link as posted elsewhere by MyMissStormCat. I'm not sure if the link is still active, because the computer I'm typing from has ActiveX restrictions.

Thanks for the link. Very game run, but dare I say beating Ouija Board on grass in Ireland is a bit different than beating Bernardini on dirt in New York..

Grow a set of nuts and take the easy money, bet a grand to win on him. You'll get back between $1,500 and 1,700, then you can play big shot in all the Manhattan clubs. Dont cash the ticket though, bring it with you and casually show the women how big a player you are, and as David Lee Roth says...

"You'll get some leg tonight for sure!"

Hooves, if you really believe that, you need to change the spelling in your signature...

It's BernARdini

By the way, I think he goes off at 4-5 with Invasor at 3-1.

ateam, you can dare say it, and I would dare agree. But the replay does tell us two things.

1. This is a world-class horse currently in excellent form.

2. The horse has grit. (That was a fine stretch battle)

What we don't know, as you said, is whether Dylan Thomas can run on dirt. But I think he will draw some money.

Dude, realize that the reason I was asking this question was because I wanna put a huge win bet on him if he's 3/2.. And also realize that $1,000 is a lot more money to me than it is to you or most of the people on this board.

I can't put a win bet on anything less than even money. It's just too dumb IMO.

Good luck ateam, although I doubt you'll need it with this monster. I havent made a bet that large on a horse in about 4 years.

$1,000

$200 - night out on the town with a lady with a figure to die for

$600 - invested in a fund, stocks something that has a chance to help you years down the road

$100 - purchase some new kicks for the night out on the town with the lady

$100 - a strong pick 3 or 4 ticket singeling dini

total = $1,000

other option

$1,000 to win on dini - if dini runs second, third something crazy the emptiness you will feel will linger with you for years. Not soo long ago everybody and their brother thought LITF (RIP) was a lock.

That's not bad actually, but new kicks for me cost way over $100 usually.

I know $1,000 is a lot of money to most of you. But it's a LOT of money to me. Notice the capitals.

And I've got **** for brains too Gander.. Otherwise I wouldn't be considering this. LOL.
