I like that list, but I would throw Go For Wand and the Rock of Gibralter in there as well...loved the Rock of Gibralter...also liked Tiznow

I wish that we could have seen more from Afleet Alex, Smarty Jones, and Charismatic...

Bernardini may be on the top of that list for me by the end of the year...

Glad you liked the list. I just tried to keep it to 5. There are many other worthy names.

My money would be on Point Given, I think.

Point Given for me as well.
He was such a big chestnut, and when he walked past me on his way to his Travers, it was a moment I'll never forget.

Kelly Kip. The Allen Jerken's charge was something of beauty to watch. I dont think we ever got a chance to see the very best from this horse either, a little mismanaged in my opinion. I saw this horse workout a few times and lets just say he turned quite a few heads.

Smarty Jones ran numbers on the sheets that were unbelievable.
And his finest race ever was the Belmont where he got tag teamed by two future grade one winners, and put them away to the point where they stopped to a walk!!! while he continued to fight on and get beat by a perfect trip horse who came back and won the Travers.
He was by far the best three year old since Easy Goer/Sunday Silence, and probably better than those as well.
You take a look at his sheet numbers and you just can't believe how fast he was. I don't know that I will see a three year old like that again in my lifetime.

Tim,
I agree with you on Kelly Kip. He's now the #4 NY sire. He's still owned by H A J (Hobeau Farm). He stands at HighCliff for a very reasonable fee.
Impressive in every way, though I don't think many remember him.
Here's what he looks like now.
