Danzig, you're a terrible parent.

My kid will likely be gambling with me by the time they're 12. Who cares, I'd rather have them lose my money at the track than be off doing drugs and getting in other trouble.

P.S. Is it the Playboy with the tennis player? Send it my way, I'll make sure your kids don't see it.

so true!

my daughter learned how to read the form about seven years ago. she says she can't do math, but she figures payoffs pretty quick.
as for the playboy...hell, we've got a ton of them around here, been subscribing for years.

Really, who gives a sh1t what a 10 year old kid is doing on a summer day at 12 noon?

They have kids on CNBC picking stocks and on Jeopardy!.

Did the kid pick a couple of winners?

Andy,

It was a great show and no reason to backtrack on the idea. The kid is already a horsey star from First Saturday In May. It not like this exposed him to anything he's not already seen. In fact, he's seen most likely a lot more than we have. Since he wants to be in racing and not a jockey or trainer, he looks the part to be little Jake unseating little Andy in 10 years..better watch out!

As for the other guy I think you commented he was one of your worst guests, or something like that on the air. Good handicapping. Jakes impression of him was priceless!

Again, great show and nice change up from the usual guests.

If your not the kids mother or father then what buisness is it of yours to say its wrong for the kid to pick horses. Raise you own children.

Can't get too cranked up about Jake being on the show. It's not only his father's way of life, but his mother's as well. It's ENTERTAINMENT!!!

My 11 year old daughter has her own DRF account and is always downloading PP's and stealing my Blood Horse. She was all over Unwritten in the 2nd at Monmouth and gave it out to everyone in the box. She also had the 6th exacta cold. Her ROI was more than mine on the day. When her teacher wanted to know why she was carrying the Racing Form, she told her it was helping her with fractions. She gets up with me at 4:30 to visit the stable and asks the trainer some real intellignet questions.

University of Arizona it is!!!

I took my daughter to the track quite frequently.
A good way to get kids interested in numbers.

Of course now that she is a tatoo artist I blame myself.

I took my kids to the track as well, even bet for them. I now take their kids to the track.
I probably agree that children on TV handicapping is not a good idea.

Just to make sure your thought doesn't go to far astray.....She is a He and He is responsible for the air.

I do find it amusing that you choose to go after Harvey Pack, a guy who some of us grew up watching on TV and is responsible for many getting involved in this game. I think if you took a poll and asked what people would rather watch, the Siro's Seminar's or the horrendous Capital OTB shows the results would be a landslide.

That show A.M. Saratoga(NY OTB Show) which is now on HRTV is beyond embarassing. Technically it is a disaster. Their mikes are never on right and every show someone has to come out and help get it right. Sean Clancy speaks and it is beyond loud....then the guest speaks and you cant hear a thing. Joanne Jones ....well...is Joanne Jones.....I'll leave it at that. Rick Lang is ok.

Now...as far as those ...umm...handicappers...please.....Anthony Mormino comes on their looking like John Gotti. The horses he picks must think they are gonna get whacked if they dont win. His opinions are horrendous. Then their is some guy on the phone who gives out horses who seems like a dart thrower.

The only part of the show which is worth watching is with Clancy and Migliore talking with a jock/former jock. But usually their are microphone problems. The whole show looks like it's produced by a bunch of amateurs. For anyone who didnt see their interview with Jerry Bailey, try and see it. Clancy had an unbelievable embarassing on air moment.

Harvey Pack is a legend and anyone who has followed NYRA over the years has to like the guy. His shows back in the 80's when I started following the game were the best. One of the reasons I began following the game.
