Chris Bando was one of the worst catchers to ever make it to the majors.

Maybe the trade would go if they added a prospect like John Odom.

The bat or the glove???

He wore one glove back then to protect a chronic bone bruise in his index finger. We couldn't pad the bat so we padded a glove to hit with. I don't know where that bat came from. Looks like one of those little league bats they used to give away for bat day to the kids.

In all seriousness....they will never sign Sabbathia..and I don't blame them. The time is now to trade him and restock the minors.

Oh that doesn't make any sense---Wedgie never brings anyone up until they are at least 25 and have been brainwashed into becoming Wedge Players.

But they could also package HJ and Byrd...and Dom Dellouise. That should bring maybe this 3rd baseman from Colorado....from what I've heard. They can have Blake and Marte ,too....maybe that would also swing one or two good prospects our way.

And then just fire Wedge.

YES!

uh-ohh. I will break fine tradition here and agree with Morty's above post. Sabathia will not sign and after their last two signings (Hafner--useless), (Westbrook--injury prone) Sabathia should be a no go. His value is maxed out right now as he has thrown several very good games in a row now so suiters have his first 4 starts out of their minds. It is very early to say it is a lost season right now, but it sure appears to be headed that direction. A team will be willing to give up more for Sabathia now than late July as they will get him 2 extra months. An interesting situation developing for sure.

Interesting....don't you find it odd Carmona got a 30 DAY or more injury just when Westbrooks was due back off the dl? That would mean Aaron Koufax was out...and he was pitching as well as anyone.

I think it gave them a little time to cook a big one up.

Really--- a huge trade or trades is/are right there....coming soon.

SAbathia has huge value. I think Sowers should be dealt as well. He is a soft tossing lefty fly ball pitcher. I think he's already had his best days. Some team may be fooled into taking him. Blake/Byrd/Dellucci are worthless and have zero value. Marte has now gone to zero value. Peralta may have some value still and could be worth dealing. I still don't know if Cabrera and/or Barfield can or will ever hit, but it may be worth it to still deal Peralta who in all honesty has more value than most on the team trade wise (don't laugh morty!). But the staff has 3 extreme ground ball pitchers in Carmona/Laffey and Westbrook and defense up the middle will be imperative once they deal Sabathia.

IN working a monster deal, Sabathia, Sowers, and Peralta are the big value guys.

Not a bad point on Sower....but make the team we trade with take the other ones!!

Or make it a 3 way....just get them out of here.

Really...the hand writing is on the wall...a big one is coming.

I just hope it's not stupid.

We just got Hugh Beaumont for Dom Dellouise.

Hugh Beaumont will now be our fine left fielder and it will be Dom Dellouise ....as the Beavers Father.
