Wow, great performance.

So who goes to the Travers now?

***From Pletchers interview on TVG looks like he is planning on a Travers run. I can't wait for the Travers!

AGS is the top 3 year old now. The Travers is a must.

I hope he doesn't run in Travers...only 20 days out and Street Sense has the extra week...

I honestly think this year, the top 3 year old is just who has done what this week.

Think about it, ever since the Derby Preps started, the top 3 year old has changed every single week.

I believe we won't know who the top 3 year old this is untill after the Breeder's Cup.

Considering the way he came into the Wood off the Tampa Bay Derby (3 weeks rest), I would highly doubt we'd seem him in the Travers

That was a pretty awesome win.

As much as I'd love to see him square off with SS again in Saratoga, not sure the 20 days is in his best his best interest.

Solid effort today. Took some late money too - off at 9/5.

Nice win for AGS. Very impressive, but to keep things in perspective of the big picture, the BC, Classic, his 1 1/8 time was almost 2 seconds slower than Lawyer Ron's freakish effort in the Whitney

Forget for a second these races were run a week apart, they weren't even run in the same state. The final times are completely meaningless for comparison.

very, very contentious group of three year olds...as for the race, i was busy here at home, and completely forgot about it! have to watch a replay later....

street sense tho remains the top of the heap, due to his derby win, and then his return in the dandy. and of course he did beat AGS earlier in the year.
heck of a group for sure!

AGS is getting better and better and Pletcher would be crazy not to run in the Travers. I still like Street Sense, but AGS has looked very good. Surprisingly dull for Curlin. Should be an interesting next 3 weeks.
hard to say....don't forget the whole dealy-deal with bluegrass cat last year....i know pletcher won't. he may skip the travers, and run him against older in the jcgc.

right on tho about comparing times.

I bet on Any Given Saturday myself. 200 to win which is a pretty sizable bet for me. How did everybody know this horse was going to win?? The worst kept secret ever. The Dwyer was impressive, I saw that race and saw his , I also bet on him in the Tampa Bay Derby.

For a horse with no heart which was repeated a lot on here this spring his last 2 races have been very impressive. The acceleration was awesome, plus he's now learning to rate, sitting at the rail and waiting and they just galloped. If he goes in the Travers he should get first run on SS, or SS will have to lay closer to the pace. Hope they skip the Travers. But if they beat him on the nuts there. He moves to the top of the list. Wonder if Curlin changes his mind now and goes to the Travers, he did not have the greatest of trips and if you watch the replay he wasn't pushed late. Curlin needs to beat these guys if he wan'ts 3 YO title. But I think AGS and SS are the real 2 best of this group. Although Curlins odds will go up and this race was sneaky good.

He bullied Curlin around the turn and it was lights out after that. 20 days rest is plenty considering how this one has developed. As a horse racing fan, I am fed up with the duck and dodge/we need rest mentality.
