Really hoping for her to return to form.

I think Antipathy and Stanwyck have as good a chance as any.. Waiting for Stanwyck to get just a few lengths better and with her trainers MO its certainly more likely then P O S returning to 2013 form.
blinkers on so they are trying to wake her up. My concern is with these prime fillies when they go off form then they typically stay off form. Would like to take a wait and see but the blinkers on is making me rethink

I have to say I don't understand where the "Princess of Sylmar has fallen off" narrative comes from. Her race in the Cat Cay was devastating, she hung a little but ran strong figure-wise in the Ogden Phipps and was 2nd at Delaware behind a glacial pace. There's much more early speed signed on tomorrow and I expect her to turn the tables on Close Hatches.

I respectfully disagree. I think there are a lot of fillies/mares that like to stalk but can lead if needed. Wouldn't be surprised for jocks to overthink things and all grab out of the gate.

No New York grabfest is ever truly surprising, but I don't see it. Irad has to be aggressive from the rail, Majestic River isn't slow, I doubt they take Belle Gallantey back after they beat Princess of Sylmar on the front end, and Close Hatches figures to press from the outside. With any kind of pace at this trip, I think Princess of Sylmar is the most likely winner. I obviously will have some backup tickets through Close Hatches.

As a side note, I miss them running the Personal Ensign at 10 furlongs.

Wont Close Hatches either sit a cozy trip right off the 1 take over and win or sit an even cozier trip off the 1, Majestic River and Belle Gallantey then get the first jump on Princess?

Fiftyshadesofhay, double digit odds and and nice wet track. Could pull the upset

Devastating?? Thats a bit of an exaggeration, no? She was OK in the Cat Cay vs Wedding Toast. Wedding Toast has not worked since the race... Something clearly went wrong with her. She basically beat nothing that day. Nothing wrong with her Phipps... I agree with that. But her race last time was bad. She was all out to just out finished Flashy American, who is OK at best. I think Pletcher is panicking a little putting blinkers on her. I think this race is 6-1. They will run 1-2 around the track with Close Hatches outclassing Antipathy a little late and winning. I think the 2 is a more likely winner then Princess of Sylmar.
