CC owner's thoughts and sentiments are fine and valid, but these are things you just don't blurt out in public. If they had a problem with Del Mar they should of taken it up with them privately, before going off again. This is part of the attitude that got him so popular in the first place, now its turning against him, making him look ungrateful and petty.

I have the ability to separate the horse from the owners............hard not to admire the horse AND the trainer. It's just a shame (and a lesson) that the owners don't seem to get it. Fine, you want a couple of bucks to drive the horse down, I'm sure something could have been discussed behind closed doors to settle things (Flay had it right). No, I can't imagine what it would be like to have had the highs and lows associated with Chrome. But I have to believe I would have been much more thankful and appreciative of the ride. I shudder to think what we would have been subjected to if Chrome had pulled it off. Adversity reveals character and it is apparent these guys have to reach up to get to the gutter. Since the horse can't talk we are subjected to the owners being the mouthpiece, which makes it awfully hard to root for Chrome. You can bet that if CC crushes in the Goodwood and makes it to the Breeders Cup we are going to be subjected to media overload regarding Coburn. We'll see if he's learned anything............or it could get real ugly! The story should be the horse and his accomplishments, he couldn't pick who his owners were going to be. Safe travels CC.

Now Flay is in the mix.

I forgot to address this...

The owner said he was a racehorse. Well since he likes talking so much head...why is this "racehorse" scheduled for just 2 more races this year excluding the hilarious Japan Cup?

Not really, it's not a term to be used lightly.

It's so funny how some of you guys say "i can separate the hoss from the owner"....Yet you all were hatin' on Zenyatta cause her owners were too ignorant to bring her to Saratoga. Biggest injustice ever to a champion ever.

No.

You are very wrong.

The Zenyatta fan boys and girls only thought that anything less that complete praise for the horse was pure hatred, whether the criticisms were about the horse or the people around her.

Religion.

'hater' has got to be one of the most overused words in the english language anymore. any criticisms levelled at anyone-you're a hater. ridiculous.
