Big A 3

Groomedforvictory and Schoolyard Dreams may be vulnerable at 6 1/2. Going to take a shot with Tummel and hope they let him waltz around the track like they let the 9 in the 2nd.

I can't believe I just let a Dennis Lalman horse get away from me at 33-1.

Lalman may be the best trainer that most people don't know. I don't get how he doesn't get more horses.

That's great, but Apex was still an impossible horse to have against that field.

I agree, I tried to make a case for him on paper and generally always bet his horses regardless of price. Looking back, the favorites were all vulnerable there, the 4 and 7 on the distance and the 1 being the beneficiary of biased tracks in his last few. Still, I couldn't pull the trigger on the 5.

He looked awesome warming up (I thought) so I threw him in my pk-3. 5,7/4 is all I have to close it out...sure wish I went deeper now.
