Thank you Benny for the update. I just re-read Steve's book last week. What a wonderful person and I enjoyed a fantastic few hours reading his book. It is encouraging to hear that he is still around. Late 50's heart attacks usually end with a wake and funeral. My fathers best friend from childhood worked out daily and was considered by all to be in "great shape" had a heart attack and died on a street in Queens. Get Well Steve Crist!!!!! |

![]() Crist shows significant improvement
By DRF Staff Steven Crist, the editor and publisher emeritus of Daily Racing Form, was in stable condition on Saturday and has shown significant signs of improvement, according to family members. Crist, 57, suffered cardiac arrest last Sunday at his home in Long Island and was admitted to a local hospital in critical condition. He was upgraded to a stable condition after undergoing a successful surgical procedure on Friday, and he spent part of Saturday night watching the replays of the Blue Grass Stakes and Arkansas Derby earlier in the day.

![]() I'm sure he will bounce right back in no time. Anyone who could carry that amount of hair through as many hot and humid Saratogas, is super human anyway. At least the braids keep one with long hair cool. He pulled it off on guts and under exertion. Get well Steve
