Stop lying to America about creating serious consequences for Russia. The gullible including Danzig believe freezing non-existent bank accounts and visas have negatively affected people holding those non-existent accounts.

Hint: Putin suggested putting the same restrictions on John McCain and Dick Durbin and unlike their Russian counterparts it didn't seem to bring any serious consequences instead it brought 'laughs' from McCain and 'honor' to Durbin.

You nailed it . How is it that we are a Democracy that views elections that we don't agree with the outcome as shams? It's not like North Korea which had 100% turnout and 100% vote in favor of little Porky.

Only difference, there is media on the ground (tons of European), twitter and facebook accounts of Crimean's etc. etc. verifying the majority want to go Russian.

slate had an article yesterday, i think i linked it, explaining how the crimean 'election' was a sham. it's very similar to what happened in north korea.
at any rate, since i guess joey isn't going to answer....

what we should do is pretty much what we are doing, next to nothing. but i do find it incredibly amusing to see many of the same people complaining about us bombing libya, now complaining because we aren't bombing russia (or syria). we aren't supposed to be the worlds policeman...except when we are, according to some.
some don't want action-they just want to complain.

Rogozin enjoys real influence as deputy prime minister for the defence and space industry, Russia's biggest exports outside of oil and gas. He brushed off the sanctions against him, "thanking" the US for "real international recognition" in a tweet on Monday. He also implied he didn't have property abroad to worry about. "Comrade Obama, what about those who have neither accounts nor property abroad? Or you didn't think about that?" Rogozin tweeted.

yeah, the sign i saw that said 'how great the sin when someone else commits it' apllies to the u.s. in this case.

the false outrage is crazy. exactly what are we to do? what leg have we got to stand on to say that russia is wrong? or crimea is wrong? what business is it of ours what happens in ukraine or crimea?
we all know why russia, putin, etc are doing what they're doing. ukraine wants to be pro-west, crimea is pro-russian. the leader of ukraine was run out-not exactly democracy in action.
