Always a pissing contest here. Nonsense. And the way your inital posts read they sure do seem to be taking something away from the horse. This effort was every bit as impressive as Zapper's Met Mile and will come up with a comparable figure. What else do you want him to do?

Well that comment was to the folks who kept talking about the raw time.
They didn't phrase it as you just did.

I'm so tired of people and their favorite little horses getting pissed off when someone praises a horse yet stops short of outright worship.
I think his race was great, and in my next post talked about not knowing how anyone could knock what he beat, he beat a good field.
easy Goer's track was just as scraped, maybe moreso, and like most track records both were as much a function of the track speed as they were the horse.
After the race was over I remarked to the guy next to me that the reason they retired Bern was because they knew he couldnt beat this guy next year.
I hope he stays sound, and I hope he returns to the US next year.
