This performance was indeed very good, great even, but don't go getting too carried away by the raw time.
And didn't any of you "he was under a hand ride" guys learn anything from Bernadini? He was asked and had a perfect setup.
Very good effort, but if you really wanna believe the time was so great, then I guess you have to consider Badge a super horse as well for going a mile in 1:33 flat.
Didn't anyone see the undercard and realize just how fast this track was playing?
The statebred allowance horse making his 2nd lifetime start went in 1:35:2 in the last race.
Guys this track was playing at LEAST two seconds fast in one turn races. More like 2 seconds and change.
And the haters rear their ugly head. So what the track was fast? Most records are set on fast days. And the time isn't important anyway at the end of the day....And you bring up Bernardini but fail to mention that Discreet Cat was always, I repeat always faster than Bernie. He has 2 -4 Thoros and Bernie never did that....The horse with the perfect trip was Badge and he couldn't do it. Discreet made his own trip sitting just off the pace and in the two or three path the entire way...And yes I'm not big on the hand ride thing but he wasn't perservered with at all. And just because Bernie couldn't find more under the whip doesn't mean this one couldn't. The fact is a 0 in his first race(as a 2 year old) could have fried this horse for life. Instead he is getting faster and better. Get ready for a -5 for this race and he's still only 3....But yeah, I guess his race was just ok. Puhhhhhhhlease. And Mike, there are lot of people on here who can watch races with a keen eye. Talking down to the board is beneath you.
