![]() Well if you guys saw School of Rock or Orange County, you can see where his appeal is. Orange County as a whole sucked, but Jack Black was hilarious in that movie. And School of Rock- 'Nuff Said. Even if you hate Jack Black you'll like that movie. GREAT FOR ALL AGES.
I think Jack Black kind of has a Sandler-like effect going for him right nhow. Put out a few good movies to start with, and then you expect everything after that to be good. And nothing has come close since those first few that made him big. I mean as far as Sandler goes- Beyond Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, and Big Daddy, can you say anything he has come out with since has been even remotely as funny or good? So I think Jack Black is kinda in that same role. So Randall, did you actually see the Tenacious D movie, or are you commenting without seeing it? Their first album- ****in dirty but ****in hilarious. I'm gonna wait for it to come out on DVD, but I look forward to seeing it.

![]() Im somewhere in the middle.
He is a funny guy, but his act can not carry a movie and the films where he is the main character are very shallow. the best performance I can think of for Jack Black is The Jackal. thats the type of role that is perfect for him. 15 minute part that really provided some comic relief from a very serious film and he played that part as only he could. when he is asked to play a more important role, he is going to fall on his face.
