I was watching the live feed, and he called the horse going down, kept calling the race, until approximately the 1/2 mile pole or so, then stopped (as I'm sure he was being told it was a no-contest). He then told us it was a no contest, but NEVER said why. The camera NEVER showed what was going on with Calvin Borel either, they just cut to a still shot of nothing.

So he certainly told us quickly it was being called a no-contest race by the stewards, and then explained how the wagers would be handled. BUT my problem was we were never told or shown why.

Did I miss that?

You probably didn't miss anything. Maybe it was the guys on HRRN that explained that Calvin was lying by the finish line.
