unreal...altho one has to wonder if they just wanted to be as harsh as possible since the two were going to town in a park with kids present (clothed or unclothed).

but it's true, we do like to feel superior...some of us also think we shouldn't try to improve at all from where we're at, but should just be happy that it's better here.


as for the military, i'm not sure if/how often people are charged with adultery any more. haven't been in for some time. probably only brought up in a case like the commanding officer who faked his own death to try to end an affair. not sure if they tacked it on, but they may have just because the guy was such an idiot.


and i hate what rape victims go thru, but people crying rape when they shouldn't has made it harder on those who truly are victims.

13 arrests over a 38 year period resulting in no jail time, in a State as large as New York? I'm surprised there isn't protests in the streets.

BTW the story seems to be missing some key facts

Corona was sentenced to 12 months probation on Nov. 24 for a public lewdness conviction. That case began June 4, 2010, when she and Justin Amend, 29, of Oakfield were arrested for public lewdness, after police observed them having sex on a picnic table in Batavia’s Farrall Park.

Amend pleaded guilty to the lewdness charge in August. The case took a turn when a warrant was issued for his arrest because Amend moved to Florida and missed his November sentencing hearing.

He appeared in City Court Wednesday. City Judge Robert Balbick sentenced him to 30 days in jail.

The public lewdness case garnered extensive media coverage because Corona, who is married, was also charged with adultery. The adultery count was dropped as part of a plea bargain

and an update

Suzanne Corona was sentenced to six days in jail this week after she pleaded guilty to violating her probation.

The petit larceny charge is pending against Corona. She allegedly attempted to shoplift about $50 worth of merchandise from Stagecoach Florist in Batavia City Centre.

Bottom line is she got a year probation and he got 30 days in jail, most likely for running.

If she wasn't a thief she'd have avoided jail all-together.

Boy her kid must be proud of her!
