NY Stewards must of taken a page from Calif Stewards rules.... First few jumps out of the gate have no bearing or incident in the race.... anything is allowed.
At Del Mar recently, the 4 horse turned left out of the gate and right in front of the 3 and the 2..... needless to say both of the horses cut off ( and the 3 was hit) finished far back. The 4 straighten out,,, raced on and finished second.
NO DQ after the INQUIRY .. reason given ...
