Timm it is right, at least at walmart. I have a friend that is a store manager for one and each PS3 cost the store 602.75 so granted its not a huge loss but if you multiply that out over a good deal of stores it starts to add up. His store recieved 6 last night and had over 100 people in line.

As to why your guess would be as good as mine. Maybe while saving their place in line other family members would shop.... Maybe people buying accessories, your guess would be as good as mine.

Judging by the insanity of society in attaining the "trinkets of Christmas", I will guarantee multiple people will be assualted coming out a store or carjacked by someone following them away from a store! Kinda dashes the Whole Spirit of the thing, doesn't it?

been going on for years. i remember years ago when cabbage patch kids were all the rage. mommas out there beating the hell out of each other trying to get a stupid, ugly doll for their kid.

but then, i never feel the urge to rush out and get something right away. i haven't bought madden '07 yet, still waiting on the price to go down!!

Jerry,
this is as bad as hotels in the south bumping up the rates during the hurricane Katrina disaster.
in some instances, it is illegal.

you want to bet DCat, then fine.
I'll be playing the Aqueduct and Hollypark cards every day next week also. lets handicap it together.
but build the bankroll some other way pal.
just got back from SAM tonight.
first time I had been there since I got back from IL.
it kicked my as* besides a late pick 3 that I hit.
let me know if you are playing SAM at all next week.
