I know Successful Dan looked like he could control the race there, but 50 for the half? Rosario was riding like he could take him anytime he wanted.

Why run your horse if you're not going to race, what are the jocks/trainers thinking? This is a 7yo who's run 11 times - maybe the horse isn't all that sound but if he only needs to run 3/8 of a mile......

Though I benefitted by the win, I agree it is insane to let a horse of that caliber get away with those fractions. Why even bother to run if you are just going to hand the race to a horse like that?
