More amusing than anything is the piped in sound of hooves hiting the ground during the race.
You are right!! The only place I know that does that is Hawthorne and it is the most ridiculous thing you'll ever hear. When the gate opens the hoofbeats start. when they cross the wire the sound is switched off yet the horses are still running. It is so stupid.
