We used to have the occassional thread like this and haven't in some time. Since we have so many posters who weren't here in the olden days let's play it again!

How are you dressed, what do you you eat, do you drink and, if so, how much and what? dressed like track bums..no eats maybe a beer

Are you a fun person to go with? Yes

Do you like going with a crowd or just another person or two? 4-5 guys

Do you get loud when you're excited? very much so

... and what about at the track ... do you get loud there? absolutely

Do you sit in one of those rooms where you don't see any real live horses, at a restaurant, are you all over the place, do you stay in your box the entire time? ..reserved seats or outside by the fence

Tell us!
I'm talking about the good old days, at WAT or TDN...always a carload, 4-5 of us..the driver got two bucks from the others for gas..
We had to cross a toll bridge to get to WAT,cost two-bits each way..sometimes coming back we had to search our pockets for a quarter..

Driving down we had a ball, lot's of laughs about getting stiffed, sway back nags, needles sticking out on their hind..we had all the excuses for losing.
My bro-in-law was the self proclaimed 'best capper in town'...and he was right..Many times tho he went along with empty pockets and would do the capping..one nite i'll never forget, one race he came up with 4 horses..the other 4 of us threw in 6 bucks apiece and boxed the tri...came back $3200!..the ole man signed for it and we spilt 4 ways..I was already ahead for the nite and duked my bro 150 and the others gave him 50..he was an instant winner...lot's of fun driving home...
