![]() Hopefully he's young, flexible and strong enough to recover fully. I don't know how a coach can observe his play in the 2nd quarter and not make the change. I agree it's Monday morning second guessing, but they were completely ineffective in the 2nd quarter due to his injury. It boggles the mind to try and understand how you come out of the locker room in the 2nd half with Griffin behind center. Last edited by Rudeboyelvis : 01-07-2013 at 10:33 AM. |

![]() Torn LCL, possibly damage to the ACL - sidelined minimum of 6-8 months:
>>>Robert Griffin III will have surgery today to repair a torn ligament in his right knee, according to the Washington Post. Griffin has a torn lateral collateral ligament and the surgery will determine whether he has damaged the ACL, a source reported. Baylor coach Art Briles confirmed the same details in a USA Today interview. A torn LCL would require a rehabilitation period of several months, possibly extending into training camp and the start of next season. A torn ACL is a more severe injury, typically requiring nine to 12 months of recovery.<<< |

![]() John Elway MADE Shanahan, period.
What has he done with all of his QB's since?...screwed 'em up? He has a putrid post-Elway resume, and i think he is WAY overrated as a head coach. |

Mike Shanahan should get down on his knees and thank God everyday for John Elway.

![]() That he does - Shanahan has always had a solid running attack, which is a QB's best friend.
All the more amazing that he hasn't had any post-Elway success. |

i just don't get why they kept playing griffin. he was obviously injured, and obviously hindered. if a qb can't plant his foot/leg, how can he make good throws? especially deep? cousins should have been put in, the game wasn't winnable the longer griffin played. his injury shut down the offense. again, not rocket science. declan, morris being picked was a fantastic move.

just read the above, thought i'd link it. shanahan is the coach, he must do what's best for the team. griffin should have been pulled, whether he liked it or not. and the writer is correct, someone must keep him from trying to do too much, too soon, and cause a longer healing period as a result of being hard-headed.
