Did not read it but it is true. Major problem. I'll see if it is ok to say without putting anyone in a bad spot.

I feel like this was reported in DRF while we were still at Saratoga...if not shortly thereafter.

I totally missed it if it was posted. Black--did you see the Stu Unger movie?

My top 5 would be:

Tiz Wonderful
Les Grand Trois
Street Sense
Circular Quay
EZ Warrior

I also second Kasept's honorable mention of CP west. I think he's gonna be a factor next spring for Zito.

1. Street Sense
2. Tiz Wonderful

4. Nobiz Like Shobiz

I think those four could be shuffled any way.

I agree with all mentioned. Here's a few more to keep in mind: Any Given Saturday, Dilemma(speed on the west coast), E Z Warrior, Ravel, and Sahara Heat. I also have several on my watch list that are working, but have yet to run. I also have several high priced colts with great pedigrees that have yet to work. These, I'm afraid are not going to get the much needed foundation, so will not be considered as Derby contenders by me.

This crop doesn't have any real standouts. That's not saying it won't produce one by Derby -- only that right now it looks iffy. I think you can throw out the entire BC Juvy field. Nothing there.

if we are projecting forward to their 3yo years....i think great hunter deserves some more respect. i know his only significant win came over the tires, but this is a very consistent colt on the dirt too. out in cali he was trying to close over their speed tracks in races that were between 6f & 7f. that is not a formula for victory for most Aptitudes.
he is solid now....and most Aptitudes are like their pa and get better with age and increased distance.
i think he could be a big factor in the spring races next year.

i'll say:
1) great hunter
2) circular quay
3) street sense
4) nobizlikeshowbiz

Day Pass has run twice. After his impressive debut, he came back 4 weeks later and won a $100,000 stakes race very impressively.

Reddam recently turned down $5 million for Notional. I will give you all one guess as to who made the offer. I'll give you a hint. It starts with a "D".
