personally, i'm amazed that bc isn't covered by some health plans. then again, when you read that article, it does make you go hmmmm. because if we keep adding more and more items, what does that do to the cost? we may need to reassess just what health insurance should encompass.

now, i don't care for the hysterical ravings of the roman catholic church on the issue; it shouldn't enter into it at all. especially when you get to the statistic in the article i mention that says 95% of adults use bc. that's a large number, not just a minority group of sex maniacs running around.

http://news.yahoo.com/steelworker-fe...-politics.html

The Democratic National Convention on Wednesday featured three speakers billed as "former employees of companies controlled by Bain Capital."

They each told compelling stories about jobs lost, allegedly because of the actions of Bain under Romney's leadership.

But it turns out one of those employees never actually worked for a company controlled by Bain Capital.

Hard to imagine there would be something less than true in the campaign isn't it?

Rocking and rolling has started for the DNC final night - Mary J Blige singing now. Stadium packed, thousands outside.

Earth Wind and Fire had to be cancelled due to stage size, but other acts will go on.

It's nice to see artists participating and wanting their songs used, and not sending the DNC injunctions to immediately stop using their music, as many send to the RNC and Romney campaign

Democrats are definitely far cooler and more fun than Republicans. Current Republicans are angry all the time.

Yeah. He was only the union organizer for that workplace, working at that steel plant, with management and employees at GST Steel.

True - Bain didn't pay his salary. The union did. But he worked at GST Steel, didn't he?

Not much of a fib at all, when the point of the story is the jobs and pensions lost by those steelworkers due to Bain Capital. The guy in charge of negotiating that would know all about that. In painful detail, in the suffering of the employees that lost their pensions and jobs. And, in fact, he said he worked for the union when he told the story.

So the problem is ... ?

Quote:
He was employed by the United Steelworkers of America as their regional union director to represent GST Steel, but was not employed at our facility," according to BC Huselton, who was head of HR at GST. Instead, Foster was a union organizer, who negotiated for workers that did work for the company. Foster explained in his remarks that he was an organizer during his dealings with GST Steel.

Quote:
But it is not clear from the remarks that he never worked for a company controlled by Bain. Foster was prominently featured in an Obama campaign video, " Romney economics ," where he is identified as lead negotiator for workers at GST Steel. In the video he explains that Bain executives took bonuses even as the company flailed. Politifact rated that Obama video "mostly true."
