I swear the simulcast signal does Del Park NO justice whatsoever. One of the nicest paddocks in America, except their 1980 cable-access feed makes it seem shabby.

It was easily one of the nicest paddocks I've seen. The facility, while old has been upgraded, especially in the simulcast center and casino. I liked the quaint grandstand which puts you really close. They also added backed seats instead of concrete bleachers. They had pony rides for the kids, other small rides and it looked like a really nice atmosphere. The fans treated Mike Smith like a rock star and he was gracious enough to sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans by the jockeys room.

Almost had a county fair atmosphere.

It's a very sweet paddock for horses. Fans don't have a great vantage point.

What a beautiful track. tx mch. Super work. I was just having a bowl of ice cream and clicked on this thread. Ausome sensory experience. I note that this is the 75th year of racing there. This is the 50th year for Finger Lakes and I do hope someday you can capture that, more on the spartan side, track.

Great pictures. Delaware Park is a great place to watch racing.
