Why not do a $150,000 show wager instead? You know you'll get $2.10 either way.

The chart says the horse brushed the 3rd place finisher out of the gate.

It's only a 3yo with three prior starts under him. Imagine how sick the guy would have felt if he had fouled someone and was placed 3rd by DQ.

I understand the wager was placed through a TVG account. Maybe Todd and Matt(two former Canterbury guys) pooled theie life savings.

They did it again today. Roughly $232,000 to win on Heliskier and $210,000 to show on him. He won for fun without being asked, another race restricted to Minnesota breds.

Cantebury has an 7.75% rebate through one of the shops that I know of, so he is making 25k per bet (15k rebate and 10k cash). Some specific shops have a 2.10 rule but some don't

So this guy has made 100k if he put 200k win/show both times

Yes, I was sure rebates had to explain some of these wagers. I wonder if some places give them on win bets but not on show bets. I have played Canterbury since it opened as I live in the area and the only other time I recall anything similar to this was the time or two that Who Doctor Who ran here and I'm pretty sure at that point in time you had to show up at the track with a briefcase full of money.
