Bustout Brooks is Back

Most of the fines and rulings against Brooks have to do with his behavior and conduct on the grounds.

Kind of surprised about that -- he's a big guy who dresses in $2 t-shirts and $3 gym shorts and likes to gamble. Always friendly and joking with me when I talk to him.

2007:

HAVING FAILED TO APPEAR BEFORE THE BOARD OF STEWARDS' ON OCTOBER 8, 2007 FOR BEING DISRESPECTFUL TO A SECURITY OFFICER IN THE PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES. YOU ARE HEREBY FINED THE SUM OF FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00).

2008:

CAUSING A DISTURBANCE ON THE GROUNDS OF PRESQUE ISLE DOWNS, IN VIOLATION OF PA. CODE, TITLE 58, SECTION 163.3 AND 163.6(C). YOU ARE HEREBY FINED THE SUM OF FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00).

BEING DISRESPECTFUL TO A RACING OFFICIAL (STARTER) ON AUGUST 15TH, 2008, IN VIOLATION OF PA. CODE, TITLE 58, SECTION 163.3 AND 163.6(C). YOU ARE HEREBY FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).

2009:

BEING DISRESPECTFUL TO A 'RACING OFFICIAL IN tHE PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES, JUNE 28,2009. YOU ARE HEREBY FINED THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00). THIS IS A SECOND OFFENSE WITHIN A TWELVE MONTH PERIOD.

2010:

BEING OBNOXIOUS TO A COMMISSION EMPLOYEE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF HER DUTIES, MARCH 25,2010. YOU ARE HEREBY FINED THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00).

2011: He was finally ejected from the grounds at PID last year ...

The request by Gerald Brooks for an APPEAL of the Presque Isle Downs Track Ejection dated June 30, 2011 is hereby GRANTED. The stay request of the appellant is not applicable as the Commission does not rule on stays pertaining to ejections issued by Racing Associations.
