Immediatley after the derby thousands of people show up to clean up the track. Most appear to be doing it as a fundraiser for different organizations etc.... But often times for events like this homeless shelters, people at probationary group homes and people who need to show work to stay out of jail are used. Sometimes people break away from the pack and get into trouble, usually with each other. It is hard to watch this many volunteers over a space the size of CD.
