Too bad. One of my favorite (albeit nasty tempered) stallions. But he's a good old guy, nonetheless.

Mean as a snake?
I've had many pet snakes, and none of them were mean. I've caught and handled wild rattlesnakes bare handed, and was never bitten. Now, had you said as mean as a drunk New Yorker, that would have been better context! |

I trust them more than people.
The first one was when I was sitting on a rock fishing a creek. This big mutha (6 foot long) swam right to me, so I thought the best option was to catch it and move it away from me. The other one was in a neighbors garage. It was tiny, having just been born. No rattles on it even. That little guy was super chill, and I just let him crawl around my hands without restraint. My mother (I was about thirteen years old) wanted me to kill it. |
