Wasn't there a race early on that had no show betting or something like that? Believe everyone who selected that race got a bye.

You're probably right, with the added stipulation that the selected horse had to finish 3rd. I had two picks in races where show betting was cancelled, and my picks show up in the stats. My horse must have finished 1st or 2nd in those two races.

We were wrong, Mike. I asked the Santa Anita contact person, and he answered that it was the "No Contest" race that caused the difference. They chose to allow all picks from that race to survive, regardless of finish position. Seems like the right decision to me, too.
