Cigar was so strong, fast and intimidating that his mere presence caused other horses to break down... Holy Bull was a victim of this..

i witnessed the arlington race ..talk about beating noone..cant believe his figure was that high..

Granted, several really weren't in form, but on their best days Dramatic Gold, Eltish, Honour And Glory, Unbridled's Song, and even Polar Expedition could hang with the big boys.

Oh really, what happened in the Donn then? I don't recall Holy Bull finishing with a sub 24 final quarter.

Quite right.. The horse ambulance tried to get by Cigar in the stretch... he just shrugged it off and drew away.

What exactly is your stance in this thread.. to argue that Cigar did indeed break down horses at will?
