This Beyer has to be an error.

The race went 1:45.20 for 8f and 70 yards and got an 89. The NY Bred 3yo stakes race went 1:43.87 at the same distance and got an 81.

Look at how absurd the figures look for this race...

Ya looks like it. . . runner-up is pretty awful, but I was still visually impressed.

Race #1 went 1/5th of a second faster at the same distance and got a 70 Beyer.

The race is cut loose from the entire card. I just assume this was a case of whoever did the figures mixing the distances up for one race ... I assume he did the figure for that maiden race at 8.5 furlongs instead of the correct distance of 8f and 70 yards.

That fig should be no higher than a 70 tops.
