There are some that seem like their goal is to kill the human. If they have nutz sometimes getting rid of them helps. With the fillies its way diffirent, you gotta have a game plan, some can be briibed with treats(carrots and mints) to let you ride them but even then sometimes when they are set off all you can hope for is that the ride is over when you get to the barn.
I like to desenseitize them by sacking them out and riding them longer if I can and reward them with bites of carrot when they do things right, but even then when they get mad look out.

It's just interesting to me.

I once was messing around with Arabian horseys Arletta cared for.Now I didn't ride any of them...just petting and yakking with them in the stable. They seemed very well mannered---with me ,anyway.

The ones out in the pasture..there was one very, very old horsey. He really liked to be petted a lot.He was a good guy....so were a Mother and her daughter, although I frightened the daughter.

I missed that Thistley thing you mentioned.

Janey hosed me again last time I was there ,so I am punishing all of them with ignorance.

That will show em. Petting horses are nice and some racehorses are real nice like that too. Then there are some that bite, unless you come bearing a carrot then they let you pet them till they are done chewing.
