A Final Farewell

The first time I did this thread was at the end of 2007. I was slammed on the very first page.

I didn't understand it then but every year since I've decided to do another.

I always assume that people - no one in particular, just in general - that they know what it is and why it is and that it won't turn into a big problem. Of course I realize that some people think it's a waste of time or stupid or ridiculous. The part that's hard for me to understand is why would anyone choose to spend their time writing posts on a thread they think is so idiotic.

I never mean for it to get ugly and every year that it happens I'm so surprised. I mean I really really am.

There is really nothing else to say but that I'm sorry it's apparently so offensive.

yep, we eat them. i guess when horses are relegated to the menu you'll have a point.

And I don't get why someone would take such great offense to an innocent joke on a message board. People makes jokes in lots of threads around here. Jokes about people getting hurt, people dying, etc. Why is this thread any different?
