It appears that Three Chimneys is doing its part, and more. Other farms should take note -- develop and implement a policy, and let the word spread. It's good publicity, it's good for the game, and most importantly it's good for the horses. Now, what can we do about the old claimers who weren't lucky enough to come from farms such as Three Chimneys? |

After a good day at a Florida track I asked the clerk (who then asked her boss) if there was a box or something set up to take donations for TCA or a thoroughbred charity anywhere at the track. There wasn't, but the both of them thought that it was a good idea. Perhaps it might work, coupled with an announcement or two during the course of the day, asking patrons to make a donation. |
