What I don't understand is that Vineyard Haven, Girolamo, and Gayego were all just retired this month.

I'm confused, were they supposed to have been running this year?

Did some quick research (DRF workout search): Girolamo had a full worktab including quick 5f and 6f works in October, then abruptly stopped. Vineyard Haven had a moderate worktab with a couple of slow 5f moves until mid-September. Gayego had no recent works.

Did these horse race in the Dubai Carnival this year? What a waste of time.

They really maximized the $10 to $12 Million they paid for Vineyard Haven.

Dude, I can't even remember the last time any of those three ran!

I thought VH and Gayego had been retired quite awhile ago.

Nothing tops the 5 mil they spent on Worldly Manner.

Then again, maybe 10 mil for VH does beat that.

At least they got some wins out of the horse though.

Any word if Midshipman has been retired yet?

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to set up a stallion deal for Tahitian Warrior.

Not many people remember another one they ruined named Adair.. they were able to get Allen Paulson to sell him (for 5 million) after a pretty big debut.. he never won again.

Yeah, I remember that horse. Worldly Manner was a much dumber buy in my eyes.

Did you know Adair had a full brother foaled in 2008? Went for like 3k. What an awful name for that full brother. If I didn't know any better, I'd think they named it after DrugS.

He's standing for 3k, which is 1k less than Cowtown Cat, also at the same farm.

Yikes.
