If I was inclined to want such a thing, I would simply setup an email forwarding rule to automatically forward stable mail emails to your mobile phone via the SMS address of your phone.

Or a phone that can take incoming text messages, which I assume you already have, hence the original point of this thread.

I had to call T-mobile to find out what my SMS address is. Once I got it, tried it and it worked like a charm. Thank you!
