G, I'm far from an expert, but I'll answer anyway.

I don't think the 3 did anything wrong. The 1 is the horse who put himself in very tight quarters. The jock on the 3 realized that the 1 was all of a sudden on the inside and steadied his horse so he didn't saw him off. It looked like the 1 never broke stride, he was just empty late.

For the record I can't believe that the 3 got the bob for 2nd either.

I don't mind if anyone tells me I'm wrong... you know... it's just I'm watching the replay (was very distracted during the actual race and didn't notice) and suddenly it's like wait a minute what the hell?

Aaah well.
